Reichel Family History

The Reichel name is of German origin. The year begins in 1826 in Saxony Germany with the birth of 2nd great grandfather Charles/Carl Reichel. After he immigrated to the United States he would find residence in the 5th ward of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Charles would marry Adrienne (unknown). Charles was an instrument maker and later an Inn keeper. Charles and Adrienne had the following children: Amelia, Charles Jacob, Ida, Eddward, HIlda, Louis J., and Laura K. Louis J. Reichel born in 1875 married Alice Louise Bogert in 1902. Louis worked at Hielman Boiler Works be retiring and moving to California to live with his daughter and son-in-law. Louis and Alice had the following children: Floyd Garfield, Lillian M., Catherine I., and Evelyn M. Floyd Garfield Reichel (grandfather) was born in 1903 and married Anna Davis daughter of Mike and Minnie (Albert) Davis in 1941. Floyd was a machine operator for Airco Inc. Floyd and Anna have 5 children: 2 daughters, 1 son, Lewis M., and Ralph J. That's all I can at this point. |
